A Bunch of Firsts

This has been a very exciting weekend! We have taken a lot of pictures to document firsts and thank goodness Blogger was in a good mood (running smoothly) and I was able to upload a good bit of them! Avery being mean to Lauren!
Avery
Cannon
Gunner
And now for some firsts!
Gunner is cutting his top two teeth
and Paw-Paw thought he might
need a sno-cone to ease his pain! He LOVED IT!!
Now today is where most of the firsts took place!
Matt and I were feeling sporty this morning and
decided at the last minute to load up and head to Malbis to let Hannah Noelle play at the splash pad. (Which, of course, when we got there she was to shy to go do!) We get there without so much as a whimper, 30 minutes past the baby's normal feed time and we decide, hmmmm, let's go to Olive Garden. I wish you could have seen the hostess' face when I said, 2 adults and 5 children. We got three highchairs (Cannon, Gunner and Avery) and a sling for Lauren's infant carrier. (She has not moved to a "big kid" car seat yet, we're hanging on to having one in a carrier as long as we can!) I came loaded with Germ-X wipes and wiped down the highchairs and the tables. (Thought of you the entire time, Beth!)
Avery eating her blueberry puffs, mmm, mmm.
Gunner still trying to figure out exactly what's going on!
Cannon pretty much thought the
whole experience was hilarious!
Lauren was pretty amused as well!
Hannah Noelle was a HUGE help!
Daddy with his boys!
Gunner wasn't interested in the puffs, he
wanted a bread stick!
He ate the whole thing!!!
Off to shopping browsing!
Avery and Cannon chillin!
Lauren and Gunner chi-laxin!
And then because we weren't tired enough from our crazy day, we decided to let the Fab Four bathe together for the first time! Trust me, bathing them one by one is WAY easier than throwing all four in the tub and wrangling them! It was a great experience though, watching them play together! I'm sure it will be what we do from now on only because they loved it SO much!
Gunner LOVED it!
Birds' Eye View
Lauren hanging on!
Not real sure what my camera did here, but I think I like it!
Avery and Cannon playing!
Lauren telling Gunner, this is MY space!
Avery showing her bubble face!
After that was all over, Matt decided
to lay down for a rest dogpile!
This was the last picture before the melt downs started!
Everyone was fed and put to bed a little early and they are sleeping like rocks!!
Matt and I feel so empowered after today!
WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Have a Great Week!

Da' Trip

I cannot even begin to tell you how AWESOME this trip was! For months I have become best friends with people I have never met through our common bond of having quadruplets! Up until this trip I had only ever laid eyes on Jac Tubre. I had several phone conversations with several of the girls and countless email conversations, text messages and instant messages, but the real thing, SO MUCH BETTER!! My initial trip was planned for Thursday to Tuesday night. After spending one night away from the babies sometime last month I switched my ticket to return home earlier on Tuesday so that I could see them awake that day. While on the trip having the most glorious time I got REALLY homesick and switched my ticket again and returned home bright and early Monday morning. I hated leaving early but was so excited to see my family!
The first day of my trip was spent with the Tubre Family who so lovingly welcomed me in and let me get some Cupcake loving! Then, on Friday, before our plane left, Jac and I headed to the Lambe Quads' House. HOLY CUTENESS!! In 24 hours I had some major quad loving: Cannon, Gunner, Lauren, Avery, Emma, Tyger, Cullen, Abbey, Rocco, Jagger, Madden & Sloan.
By 7 pm, we were in Mickey Land with all the gals and when I tell you the girls are AMAZING, that's an understatement! Whatever you do, don't read their blogs though, they make me out to be a clutz! That chair was ALWAYS in my way, it wasn't my fault! And nobody gave me the memo mid trip that they added a new wall in our condo. I sure wouldn't have run into it if had been there the whole time!!
I tried really hard to make a list of certain things I loved about each of these miraculous women, but I couldn't narrow it down to be small enough to put in a post! The inside jokes alone would fill a post and send your head's spinning!!

Girls, I LOVE YOU! You are who I turn to when I'm excited about something, upset about something, need to vent, cry, scream, laugh, anything! We have created some unimaginable bonds between us. There are so many others that didn't get to come with us and I hope you start planning for next year now so that you can join us and we can continue to grow and strengthen these bonds! I love seeing the red light flashing on my phone because it generally means there is going to be an e-mail to make me laugh my guts out or one that's going to send me to my knees praying you make it through the day!
Love, Love, Love YOU!!!!!!!
I will post soon with an update of weights, heights, etc. on the babies and the new BloggyLook should be up soon!!! Thanks Jenissa!!
Have a Great Week!!!

I've Got All My Sistas With Me

"What's the first thing you did when you found out you were having 4 babies?"

After the shock wore off, each of us got online and googled "quads." One by one we found each other…THANK GOD WE DID!!

We quad moms have an incredibly special bond. We have spent countless hours chatting with each other online and on the phone. A day does not go by when our in boxes aren't full of funny, frustrating, tear jerking and loving emails addressed to the group. We have seen each other through our pregnancies, NICU stays, health scares and countless moments of triumph and hours of desperation. We have shared our stories, good and bad. We cheer each other on and pick each other up when the going gets tough. We have found strength in numbers and as a group we can solve any problem.

A few months ago Casey and Jac sent out an email that would forever change us all. They were bound and determined to organize the "first annual quad mom get away!" They were not going to take "no" for an answer and were willing to do whatever they could to help each and every one of us make it. Yes, they are that sweet and wonderful!

This past weekend our trip became a reality. We quad mommas, from all over the country, flew into Orlando, FL. We spent the weekend effortlessly bonding and enjoying each others company. Seeing our best friends for the first time in person is one of those things that words cannot describe. Each and every woman was even better in "real life!"

Not every single one of us was able to make the trip, however the turn out was AMAZING! Those of you who missed this year, we can't wait to see your smiling faces next time!

Casey and Jac, THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming up with this idea and for not taking "no" for an answer. It was truly one of the best weekends of our lives and we can't wait for next year!

In the words of sweet Sandra, "I'm so glad I had quads…it gave me all of you!"

In true Quad Momma fashion we took tons of pictures, here are just a few...

Orlando will NEVER be the same...
Not pictured is Nicole Golden who is living in the ice age and does not have a blog...YET...we are working on corrupting her. She was not able to join us until later in the trip (some other ladies were already back home).

Thank you to all the husbands, family members and friends who made this trip possible.
We could never have done it without you!

We've also mastered sitting with all four, Lauren is still a little shaky on it, I think it's that tiny bootie she has! Old School Photos!

I finally got my scanner hooked up and went through a few old photos I just received back from a friend that was working on a scrapbook for Hannah Noelle and decided with the extra five minutes I had tonight I would see what I could come up with!! My pregnant pictures from my pregnancy with Hannah Noelle.
I wore this shirt in my Quad Pregnancy when I was about 2 months pregnant.
I was two weeks from delivery here!!!
We look SO young!

We used to actually have time to sit!!
Look how bald she is and how LONG my hair was!
One of my favorite Family Pics!!

It was so great to sit and look through old pictures! I can't wait to dig deeper in the bucket and get some real old school pictures of Matt and I dating and our wedding and scan those. Hopefully then I'll be able to start back on my Flashback Series.

Hope you have a GREAT WEEK!
